Hope Force International, Haiti

The two girls are part of the Hope Force International Child Sponsorship Program. They have just come to our monthly food distribution and received rice, beans, spaghetti, cooking oil and maggi cubes. They are wearing the school uniform T-shirt which shows the name of their school and that they are in NS III, meaning the third (next to last) year of high school.

About the Artist:

About This Painting:

“Salvation and Supply; Grace to Run the Race” is an acrylic painting on a 24″ x 36″ x 1.5″ canvas. The goal was to add detail through different textures and finishes to bring life to the painting, with the edges of the painting also fully painted.

Hope Force International (HFI) came to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. We manage a Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) for over 200 children in a rural community. HFI pays school fees, uniforms, books and supplies and provides a monthly food distribution. In addition we have built small home and currently focus on latrines (outhouses) to improve health and hygiene in the community. We responded to the August 2021 earthquake with emergency supplies and built 36 homes in three different areas in the South. Sponsoring a child costs $ 34 per month and a latrine costs $ 1,500. We aim to show the love and compassion of Jesus in practical ways.
